Bonding Straps. Generally, the frame of a vehicle is used as the second wire (ground) of an electrical circuit. This ground is used for all the systems of
the vehicle. The "bonding straps" ensure there is a definite ground between the major assemblies or components. This definite ground eliminates the
possibilities of an erratic ground which would cause undesirable radio interference.
Bonding strap from the engine to the frame is one of a
few major straps.
