BOOM AND TOPHANDLER CALIBRATION
THIS WORK PACKAGE COVERS
RTCH must be parked on level ground with all wheels pointing straight ahead.
When calibrating the boom and tophandler, perform all ten calibration steps in order. DO NOT skip or
omit any steps.
Access to Calibration Menus.
Turn master battery switch to ON position.
Turn ignition switch ON and start truck.
Select Kalmar service menu on drivers Electronic Control System (ECS) display screen and press Enter.
If boom or tophandler angle sensors have been removed or are being replaced, steps d-f must be performed
prior to calibration.
Ensure boom and tophandler are level with ground.
Enter diagnostic menus, select DIAG SERVO menu, and scroll down to display 7(13). Note angle sensor voltage
Loosen setscrew securing angle sensor lever to shaft. Rotate sensor shaft until voltage reading is between 7 and 8
volts (boom angle sensor) or 4 volts (tophandler angle sensor). Retighten setscrew and recheck voltage reading.
Enter calibration program access number 13221 and press Enter.
Press right arrow button to locate CALIBR SERVO menu, then press Enter.
