LIFTING BRACKETS INSTALLATION

bracket. Doing so may cause severe equipment damage during lifting operations.
Ensure lifting brackets are not cracked or bent and are clean and free of dirt.
Position front lifting bracket (2) and secure with four screws (1). Tighten screws to 35 lb-ft (47 Nm).
Position rear lifting bracket (3) and secure with two screws (4). Tighten screws to 60 lb-ft (81 Nm).

not in place. DO NOT, however, position trestle under oil pan. Damage to oil pan may result.
Position suitable lifting device and attach to engine front lifting bracket (2).
Right- and left-front engine shock mounts are removed in the same manner. Perform steps 2 thru 5 on
both front engine shock mounts.
Loosen two jamnuts (14) and adjusting screws (13).
Adjust lifting device to support weight of engine without applying tension on mounting hardware.
