LOCKING PIN BUSHING REPLACEMENT - CONTINUED
BOOM SUPPORT BUSHINGS REMOVAL
Use extreme caution when handling heavy parts. Provide adequate support and use assistance during
procedure. Failure to follow this warning may result in injury to personnel.
Locking pin weighs 65 lb (29 kg).
Locking pin support weighs 35 lb (16 kg).
If removing inside bushings only, locking pin and locking pin support must first be removed (WP 0254 00).
If removing outside bushings only, the outside cover must be removed and locking pins must be retracted (WP 0281 00).
Remove eight capscrews (3) and outside cover (4).
Remove large clamp (8) from protection bellows (7) on cylinder end of locking pin (5) of inside boom support (11).
Slide bellows (7) toward boom support (12) to expose locking pin (5).
Remove upper snap ring (6) from locking pin (5).
Tap pin on end using hammer and drift pin to push it through and out of locking pin (5).
Do not disconnect hoses or other end of cylinder.
Rotate disconnected cylinder end away from locking pin (5).
Remove locking pin (5) from locking pin support (12) and place in a protected area.
Remove eight flat socket head capscrews (9) from locking pin support (12).
