LOCKING PIN BUSHING REPLACEMENT - CONTINUED
BOOM SUPPORT BUSHINGS INSTALLATION
Bushings must be installed from the inside and outside of the boom support towards the center of the
Lightly coat outside of new bushings (1) and bushing bore (3) in boom support (2) with 603 locktite.
Place one new bushing (1) on installation tool and center in boom support bushing bore. Lightly tap tool to get started
With bushing (1) aligned, hold pressure on tool and press against bushing while it is being driven/hammered into bore
until tool bottoms out against boom support.
When installing the second bushing, drive it in only until it contacts the first bushing in the center of
the boom support. Do not drive it in until the bushing driver seats against the boom support. Failure
to follow this caution may cause distortion of bushings and binding of the locking pin. This could
cause the locking pin not to move or the bushing to be pushed out of the bore.
Ensure that seems of the bushings are not aligned with each other.
Allow locktite to cure for 24 hours before the locking pins are extended into bushings.
Install second bushing (1) from opposite side of boom support (2). Drive in until it makes contact with first bushing.
Clean inside of bushings (1) of excess locktite that may have seeped through holes in bushings.
