Section II. AUTOMATIC CONTROL LEVER LOCKOUT CYLINDER AND LINKAGE MAINTENANCE
AUTOMATIC CONTROL LEVER LOCKOUT CYLINDER AND LINKAGE INSTALLATION
EQUIPMENT CONDITION: Negative battery cable disconnected at shunt. (Refer to TM 5-3810-306-20.)
Air system purged. Refer to TM 5-3810-306-20.)
Cab front cover removed. (Refer to TM 5-3810-306-20.)
REMOVAL:
c. If necessary, remove clevis rod ends (10) and
jam nuts (18) from control rods (11) and (12).
1. REMOVE
AUTOMATIC
CONTROL
LEVER
LOCKOUT CYLINDER (2).
3. REMOVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY (7) AND BEARING
UNITS (19).
a. Tag and disconnect air line (1) to automatic
control lever lockout (2).
bolts (22). Discard lockwashers (21).
b. Remove fitting and retain for reassembly.
b. Remove bolts (22) and lower shaft (7) and
c. Tag and disconnect two electrical connectors
bearing units (19) from frame.

c. Slide bearing units (19) from ends of shaft (7).
d. Remove two "E" clips (5), from clevis pin (4)
securing clevis (6) to lockout shaft (7). Replace

clips (5) if damaged.
e. Loosen clevis lock nut (8) and remove clevis (6)
1. INSTALL SHAFT ASSEMBLY (7) AND BEARING
and lock nut (8) from automatic control lever
