Section II. SERVICE UPON RECEIPT
This paragraph provides information required to ensure the M3A1 CROP is adequately inspected, serviced and oper-
ationally tested before it is subjected to normal everyday use. The procedures cover unpacking, deprocessing and

sists, call a physician. If overcome by vapors, move from exposed area and call a phy-
sician. In case of ingestion, do not induce vomiting, call a physician immediately.
If any parts other than those shown in the lubrication order are coated with lubricating oil
or grease, remove with solvent cleaning compound (Item 3, Appendix E).
Inspect M3A1 CROP for damage incurred during shipping. If M3A1 CROP has been dam-
aged, report the damage.
Check the equipment against the packing slip to ensure shipment is complete. Report all
discrepancies in accordance with DA PAM 750-8.
Perform the Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS) in Tables 7-1 and 9-1.
Schedule the next PMCS on DD Form 314, Preventive Maintenance Schedule and Record.
Report all deficiencies on DA Form 2407 if the deficiencies appear to involve unsatisfac-
