TM 10-3930-675-100009 00-1TROUBLESHOOTING INSTRUCTIONS0009 00GENERALNOTEIf an error code appears on driver’s ECS display screen during operation, refer to WP 0020 00 for furtherinformation.1.This chapter provides information for identifying and correcting malfunctions which may develop while operating theRTCH-RT 240.2.The Troubleshooting Symptom Index in WP 0010 00 lists common malfunctions which may occur and refers you to theproper page in WP 0011 00, Table 1 for a troubleshooting procedure.3.The Troubleshooting Symptom Index cannot list all malfunctions that may occur, nor all tests or inspections and correc-tive actions. If a malfunction is not listed, or is not corrected by the listed corrective actions, notify your supervisor.4.If you are unsure of the location of an item mentioned in troubleshooting, refer to WP 0002 00 or WP 0004 00.5.Before performing troubleshooting, read and follow all safety instructions found in the Warning Summary at the front ofthis manual.6.When troubleshooting a malfunction:a.Locate the symptom or symptoms in WP 0010 00 that best describe the malfunction.b.Turn to the page in WP 0011 00, Table 1 where the troubleshooting procedures for the malfunction in question aredescribed. Headings at the top of each page show how each troubleshooting procedure is organized: SYMPTOM,MALFUNCTION, and CORRECTIVE ACTION.c.Perform each step in the order listed until the malfunction is corrected. DO NOT perform any maintenance taskunless the troubleshooting procedure tells you to do so.EXPLANATION OF COLUMNSThe columns in WP 0011 00, Table 1 are defined as follows:1.SYMPTOM.Indicates fault that has occurred in system/equipment.2.MALFUNCTION. Indicates probable cause for fault symptom.3.CORRECTIVEACTION. Indicates procedure to correct the problem.
