10. CONTAMINATED ENGINE OIL
Step 1.
Fuel injector needle valves not sealing.
a. Remove and test fuel injectors. (Refer to page 5-2.)
If OK, do Step 2.
b. Replace fuel injector(s).
Step 2.
Coolant in the oil, internal engine component leaks.
a. Refer to troubleshooting logic for COOLANT LOSS.
Step 3.
Fuel in the oil, engine operating too cold.
a. Review operation for excessive idling resulting in the
engine running below normal temperature.
Step 4.
Defective fuel injection pump.
a. Replace fuel injection pump. (Refer to page 5-4.)
