a. Measure the backlash between the pinion
and ring gear. The backlash must be .014
.005 (0.36 0.13 mm).
b. If the backlash is too much, loosen adjust-
ment ring (8) and tighten adjustment
ring (11) the same amount.
If the backlash is not enough, loosen
adjustment ring (11) and tighten adjust-
ment ring (8) the same amount.
