ENGINE
CRANKS SLOWLY
1. Test voltage potential onalfour batteries, see page 2-269.
2. If batteries are good, check battery cables for proper size, freedom from corrosion and proper installation, see page 2-279.
3. If batteries are fully charged, battery cables and connectors are good, and all mechanical systems work properly, inform Direct Support to test
starting motor current draw.
NOTE
If ambient temperature is below 32F (0C) check that engine oil and diesel fuel ratings ue correct.
If cold weather starting aid is being used and everything else is proper, see PROBLEM 5.
