FAN ASSEMBLY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION (CONT)

Remove.
1. Rear hood
2. Cooling system
Drain coolant from cooling system to below
a. Mark channel position.
3. Channel assembly (1)
b. Remove.
4. Tube assemblies (2)
Remove from radiator top tank.
5. Fan guards (3)
Remove.
Guard will drop when last bolt is removed.
NOTE
Mark guards right/left, upper/lower.
Weight of fan assembly is 95 lbs.
Remove.
6. Fan belts (7)
Fasten to fan assembly (4).
7. Hoist
8. Nuts and bolts (5)
Remove from adapter (6).
a. Remove.
9. Fan assembly
Don't let fan hit radiator.
b. Discard O-ring seal on fan drive bearing.
