Ensure that ignition switch isin OFF position. Turn offcircuit breakers 51-F4 and 51-F5. Disconnect OEM harnessfrom engine ECU.a. Inspect OEM harnessconnector on ECU side andharness side for dirty,corroded, bent, broken, andpushed back or extendedpins.Clean and repair connector asrequired (WP 0111 00).b. Check for dirt or moisturein or on connectors and formissing or damagedconnector seals.Remove dirt and moisture fromconnector. Replace missing ordamaged connector seals (WP0111 00).6. Place ignition switch in OFFposition and disconnect OEMharness from engine ECU(794). Perform the followingresistance checks.If resistance is not as specified,replace battery cables (WP 010800).a. Measure resistance fromharness connector pin 7 topositive (+) batteryterminal. Resistance shouldbe less than 10 ohms.b. Measure resistance fromharness connector pin 8 topositive (+) batteryterminal. Resistance shouldbe less than 10 ohms.c. Measure resistance fromharness connector pin 17 topositive (+) batteryterminal. Resistance shouldbe less than 10 ohms.
