WARNING
Perform all lubrication and preventive maintenance checks and ser-
vices with vehicle on level ground, transmission in N (Neutral),
parking brake applied, and engine off. Failure to follow this warning
may result in personnel injury.
NOTE
Lubrication intervals as indicated in LO 10-3930-675-12 take
precedence over intervals indicated in this PMCS. For further
information and final authority, refer to LO 10-3930-675-12.
After initial 100 hours of operation, Organizational Maintenance
must perform 100-hour initial break-in services as indicated in
LO 10-3930-675-12. Organizational Maintenance shall also
cheque torque of wheel nuts [497 lb-ft (650 Nm)] and torque of
boom wear plate mounting hardware (WP 0139 00).
Engine oil and transmission oil must be sampled every 50 hours
of operation or 90 days, whichever occurs first, as prescribed by
DA Pam 738-750. Hydraulic system oil must be sampled annu-
ally. Exceptions are noted in LO 10-3930-675-12.
Do NOT sample engine and transmission oil until 50 hours after
100-hour initial break-in services.

Open remote hydraulic control com-
partment and take sample of engine oil:
a. Start engine and bring to operating
temperature (TM 10-3930-675-10).
b. Remove cap from discharge port.
Clean sampling valve port with rag.
c. Open and close knob of valve suffi-
ciently to allow approximately 2 oz
(60 ml) of oil to be collected into
suitable container. Discard oil.
d. Open and close knob of valve to
allow sample to be collected into
clean sample bottle to approxi-
mately 1/2 in (1.3 cm) below neck of
sample bottle.
e. Install cap on discharge port and
check for leaks.
