Access remote hydraulic control com-
partment and take sample of transmis-
sion oil:
a. Ensure transmission is at operating
temperature.
b. Remove cap from discharge port.
Clean sampling valve port with rag.
c. Open and close knob of valve suffi-
ciently to allow approximately 2 oz
(60 ml) of oil to be collected into
suitable container. Discard oil.
d. Open and close knob of valve to
allow sample to be collected into
clean sample bottle approximately 1/2
in (1.3 cm) below neck of sample bot-
tle.
e. Install cap on discharge port and
check for leaks.

Engine Oil
Filter
Access engine compartment and change
engine oil filter:
a. Start engine and bring to operating
temperature (TM 10-3930-675-10).
b. Shut down engine (TM 10-3930-
675-10). Drain engine oil and replace
filter (LO 10-3930-675-12).
WARNING
DO NOT perform fuel system checks, inspections or maintenance
while smoking or near fire, flame or sparks. Fuel may ignite, causing
damage to vehicle and injury or death to personnel.

a. Replace fuel filter/water separator
(WP 0058 00).
b. Inspect fuel lines, fuel tank, and fuel
system components for leaks and
damage. If authorized, replace dam-
aged components.
