TM 10-3930-675-20-20108 00-2BATTERY CABLES REPLACEMENT - CONTINUED0108 00REMOVALNOTE•Tag battery cables prior to removal to aid in installation.•Cut tiedown straps and remove protective covering from battery cables as necessary.•Perform steps 1 thru 5 only to disconnect battery cables when performing any electrical maintenancetask on vehicle.1.Remove each of four locking pins (3) from studs of battery compartment (1).2.Remove battery compartment cover (2) from battery compartment (1).WARNINGDisconnect NEGATIVE battery cables (19) first to avoid electrical shock.3.At end of two NEGATIVE battery cables (19), raise plastic cap (18) and loosen nut (16) and screw (17) of battery cableclamp.4.Disconnect NEGATIVE battery cable (19) from two of four batteries (15) and remove cables.123
