NOTE
24. Proximity Switches - Tophandler and Cab.
All proximity switches on the RTCH operate and
are connected the same way. Many non-error code
problems may be caused by a faulty proximity
switch or the proximity switch signal not reaching
its destination. DIAG ATTACHMENT screens
3(16), 4(16), 5(16), and DIAG EXTRA FUNCT
8(13) can be used to verify the signal inputs into the
ECU (790) or (791).
All Proximity Switches - General operation. Each
proximity switch has three wires:
- Brown = voltage (24V) input
- Blue = ground
- Black = signal; voltage (24V) output when activated
Activation = metal within 5 mm of end of proximity
switch.
Indicator = small LED comes on when activated.
