REFUELING PROCEDURES
WARNING
DO NOT smoke or permit any open flame in area of RTCH while you are servicing diesel fuel sys-
tem. Be sure hose nozzle is grounded against filler tube during refueling to prevent static electric-
ity. Failure to follow this warning may result in injury to personnel or equipment damage.
Operating personnel must wear fuel-resistant gloves when handling fuels. If exposed to fuel,
promptly wash exposed skin and change fuel-soaked clothing.
Place portable fire extinguisher within reach prior to refueling.
DO NOT overfill tank. If fuel starts foaming from fuel tank, stop immediately to avoid fuel spill-
age.
Failure to follow these warnings could result in injury or death to personnel.
1.
Shut down engine.
2.
Wipe off dirt on and around filler cap.
3.
Unlatch filler cap and open.
4.
Refuel tank. Level of fuel should come approximately half-way up filter screen. DO NOT overfill tank.
5.
Close filler cap and latch.
