TM 10-3930-675-20-20052 00-2ENGINE OIL AND OIL FILTER REPLACEMENT - CONTINUED0052 00REMOVAL - CONTINUED1.Place suitable container under engine oil pan (1) to catch draining oil.2.Remove plug (3) and washer (2) from bottom of engine oil pan (1) and allow oil to drain. Dispose of oil in accordancewith standard operating procedures (SOP). Check condition of washer and plug.NOTEEnsure oil pan plug and oil pan threads are clean and free of deposits.3.Install washer (2) and plug (3) in oil pan (1). Tighten plug to 65 lb-ft (88 Nm).NOTEPosition drain pan to catch oil from oil filter head as needed.4.Remove oil filter (4) and gasket from filter head (5) with strap wrench. Discard filter with gasket.5.Clean filter head (5) with a rag.123456
