ENGINE OIL DIPSTICK HOSE AND OIL FILL HOSE REPLACEMENT - CONTINUED

ENGINE OIL DIPSTICK HOSE REMOVAL
1.
Remove dipstick (3) from engine oil dipstick hose (4).
2.
Remove upper end of dipstick hose (4), nipple (2), and washer (1) from bracket (5).
3.
Remove lower end of dipstick hose (4) from adapter (16).
4.
Remove locknut (12), screw (13), two washers (14), and release dipstick hose (4) from clamp (15).
5.
Remove dipstick hose (4) from vehicle.
6.
Remove adapter (16) and o-ring (17) from cover (18). Discard o-ring.
ENGINE OIL DIPSTICK HOSE INSTALLATION
1.
Install new o-ring (17) and adapter (16) to cover (18).
2.
Position dipstick hose (4) to vehicle.
3.
Install lower end of dipstick hose (4) to adapter (16).
4.
Install upper end of dipstick hose (4) to bracket (5) with washer (1) and nipple (2).
5.
Secure dipstick hose (4) with clamp (15), screw (13), two washers (14), and new locknut (12). Ensure clamp is posi-
tioned on hose so that dipstick (3) can be installed into hose.
6.
Install dipstick (3) into dipstick hose (4).
7.
Install engine cover (WP 0143 00).
