CYLINDER HEAD REPLACEMENT - CONTINUED

INSTALLATION - CONTINUED
1.
Position new cylinder head gasket (24) on engine block and set cylinder head (4) in place.
2.
Apply a light coating of clean lubricating oil to thread (33) and flange (32) area of cylinder head screws (20).
NOTE
Ensure three cylinder head screws are installed inside intake ports.
3.
Install and hand-tighten 32 cylinder head screws (20).

4.
Tighten cylinder head screws (20) to 100 lb-ft (136 Nm) in sequence shown. Repeat sequence and tighten to 160 lb-ft
(217 Nm).
