SLEWING MOTOR BRAKE REPLACEMENT - CONTINUED

HYDRAULIC MOTOR INSTALLATION
1.
Align keyway of spur gear (5) to key on hydraulic motor (1) shaft and, using dead blow hammer, drive it into place on
shaft.
2.
Set hydraulic motor (1) in place and secure it with two socket-head capscrews (2) and two washers (3).
SLEWING MOTOR BRAKE REMOVAL
1.
Place an index mark on slewing motor brake (4) and planetary housing (7) to mark location for reassembly.
Perform step 1 of Hydraulic Motor Removal to remove hydraulic motor.
2.
NOTE
Only remove hardware that is in the way.
Note which side sight glasses are removed from to aid in installation.
3.
Remove fittings, plugs, and sight glasses and loosen allen head screws (6).
4.
Remove slewing motor from vehicle (WP 0166 00).
5.
Remove eight allen head screws (6) securing slewing motor brake (4) to planetary gear assembly (7).
6.
Separate slewing motor brake (4) from planetary gear assembly (7).

SLEWING MOTOR BRAKE INSTALLATION
1.
Transfer index mark from old slewing motor brake (4) to new brake for proper positioning of brake during installation.
2.
Align index marks and assemble slewing motor brake (4) on planetary assembly (7).
3.
Install eight allen head screws (6) to secure slewing motor brake (4) to planetary assembly (7).
