HYDRAULIC SYSTEM VALVE MAINTENANCE - CONTINUED

TWISTLOCK DOUBLE PILOT OPERATED CHECK VALVE REMOVAL
1.
Remove tiedown straps and clamps, as needed. Discard tiedown straps.
2.
Remove four hoses (170) and O-rings (171) from valve (166). Discard O-rings.
NOTE
Refer to Foldout, FO-16 as a guide to remove hoses and fittings from valve or component.
Note position of tiedown straps and clamps to aid in installation.
3.
Remove two bolts (167), washers (168), nuts (169), and valve (166) from mounting plate (165).
4.
Remove four fittings (172) from valve (166).

NOTE
hydraulic hoses and applying proper torque.
Perform step 1 to install fittings removed from old valve, if new valve is being installed.
1.
Install four fittings (172) on valve (166).
2.
Lubricate and install four new O-rings (171).
3.
Install and tighten four hoses (170) on valve (166).
4.
Install valve (166) on mounting plate (165) with two bolts (167), washers (168), and nuts (169). Tighten bolts in accor-
dance with WP 0286 00.
5.
Install clamps and new tiedown straps as needed, in same position as noted during removal.
6.
At hydraulic reservoir, open any ball valve that may have been closed.
7.
Check oil level in hydraulic reservoir (WP 0050 00).
8.
Start engine (TM 10-3930-675-10) and check for leaks.
