a. Determine proper ring set according to piston
diameter measurement taken in step 2.
a. Install bearings (4) and rod caps (2). Install nuts
(3) and tighten to 73 ft-lbs (99 Nm). Measure

b. Position each ring in cylinder and use a piston to
square it in bore 3.5 in. (89 mm) from top of
block. Use feeler gauge to measure ring gap.
