Remove from housing (2).

Spacer and bearing cone
Remove from gear (1). Discard bearing cone.

Retainer (4)
Remove capscrews (3) and remove retainer
from housing (2).

Bearing cup
Remove from housing (2).
ASSEMBLY
1.
Bearing cone (5) on gear (1)
Heat bearing cone in oil to a maximum tem-
perature of 2750 (1350 C). Position gear (1)
with shaft up and install bearing cone. The
large diameter of cone against the gear.
