TM 10-3930-675-20-2 0071 00-3 STARTER REPLACEMENT - CONTINUED 0071 00 REMOVAL - CONTINUED 3. Remove three screws (11), starter (7), and gasket (9) from engine (10). Discard gasket. INSTALLATION NOTE Ensure all old gasket material has been removed from mating surfaces. 1. Install new gasket (9) and starter (7) to engine (10) with three screws (11). Tighten screws to 140 lb-ft (190 Nm). NOTE Perform step 2 at rear of starter. 2. Install terminals of cables (8) to starter (7) with washer (6) and nut (5). NOTE Perform step 3 at rear of starter solenoid. 3. Install terminals of cables (3) to solenoid (4) with washer (2) and nut (1). 4. Connect battery cables (WP 0108 00). 5. Install new tiedown straps. 6. Perform operational check of engine (TM 10-3930-675-10). 7. Install engine cover (WP 0143 00). END OF WORK PACKAGE 9 10 11 7
