ENGINE ELECTRONIC CONTROL MODULE (ECM) REPLACEMENT - CONTINUED

REMOVAL - CONTINUED
1.
Loosen three connector captive screws (13) and disconnect actuator harness connector (6), sensor harness connector (8),
and OEM harness connector (4) from ECM (5).
2.
Disconnect wiring harness (11) from 32-pin connector (12).
NOTE
Note type and location of mounting hardware to aid in installation.
3.
Remove screw (9) and washer (3) securing 32-pin connector (12) and bracket (10) to ECM (5).
4.
Remove screw (2), washer (3), and cable clamp (1) securing engine wiring harness (14) to ECM (5). Reposition engine
wiring harness and OEM wiring harness.
5.
Remove remaining screws (2 and 9) and washers (3) securing ECM (5) to cooling plate (7).
6.
Remove ECM (5) from cooling plate (7).
INSTALLATION
1.
Position ECM (5) on cooling plate (7).
NOTE
Ensure mounting screws are installed as noted in removal.
2.
Temporarily secure ECM (5) to cooling plate (7) with screws (2 and 9) and washers (3).
NOTE
Ensure connectors are clean and dry prior to connection to ECM.
