COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR REMOVAL - CONTINUED
2.
Disconnect connector (3) of engine wiring harness (2) from coolant temperature sensor (4).
3.
Remove coolant temperature sensor (4) with o-ring seal (5) from engine (1). Discard o-ring seal.
COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR INSTALLATION
NOTE
Ensure new sensor has o-ring seal installed.
1.
Apply a light coat of lubricating oil to new o-ring seal (5).
2.
Install o-ring seal (5) and coolant temperature sensor (4) on engine (1). Tighten sensor to 120 lb-in (14 Nm).
NOTE
Ensure locking tab on connector snaps in place.
3.
Connect connector (3) of engine wiring harness (2) to coolant temperature sensor (4).
4.
Fill cooling system and check for leaks (WP 0063 00).
5.
Install engine cover (WP 0143 00).
