REAR WINDOW WINDSHIELD WIPER AND MOTOR REMOVAL - CONTINUED
3.
From outside cab, remove wiper blade (41) from wiper arm (40).
4.
Remove hose (42) from wiper arm (40).
5.
Lift cover and remove nut (39) and wiper arm (40) from motor shaft (44).
6.
Remove plastic cap (43), nut (45), and seal ring from end of motor shaft (44).
CAUTION
Use care when removing windshield wiper motor to avoid damaging windshield.
7.
Remove two screws (35), washers (36), seal (37), spacer (38), and windshield wiper motor (29) from cab. Discard seal.
8.
If damaged, remove hoses (42) inside and outside cab from fitting (33). Remove fitting and grommet (34) from cab.
REAR WINDOW WINDSHIELD WIPER AND MOTOR INSTALLATION
NOTE
To install wiper blade and arm only, perform steps 4 and 5.
1.
If removed, install grommet (34) and fitting (33) to cab. Install hoses (42) inside and outside cab to fitting.
2.
Position new seal (37), spacer (38), and windshield wiper motor (29) against cab with motor shaft (44) thru opening in
cab. Install two washers (36) and screws (35).
3.
From outside cab, install seal ring, nut (45), and plastic cap (43) on end of motor shaft (44).
4.
Install wiper arm (40) on motor shaft (44) with nut (39). Close cover over nut. Secure hose (42) to wiper arm.
5.
Install wiper blade (41) on wiper arm (42).
6.
Inside cab, connect wiring harness connector (31) to motor connector (30). Secure wires and hoses together with new
tiedown strap (32) around windshield wiper motor (29).
7.
Install two screws (27) and cover (28) to windshield wiper motor (29).
8.
Turn master battery switch to ON position and check operation of rear window windshield wiper and windshield wiper
washer (TM 10-3930-675-10).
