CAB SLIDING CYLINDER REPLACEMENT - CONTINUED

REMOVAL
1.
Disconnect two hydraulic hoses (3) from cylinder (8). Cap or plug all openings.
2.
At end of cylinder (8), remove pin (1).
3.
At opposite end of cylinder (8), remove screw (7), washer (4), and shaft (6).
4.
Remove cylinder (8) from mounting brackets (5 and 9).
5.
Remove two fittings (2) from cylinder (8).
INSTALLATION
NOTE
Refer to General Maintenance Instructions (WP 0194 00) for complete instructions on connecting hydraulic
hoses and applying proper torque.
1.
Install two fittings (2) to cylinder (8).
2.
Aline end of cylinder (8) to mounting bracket (5) so that shaft (6) can be installed.
3.
Apply a thin coat of grease to shaft (6) and install cylinder (8) with shaft.
4.
Install washer (4) and screw (7).
5.
Apply a thin coat of grease to pin (1).
6.
At opposite end of cylinder (8), aline cylinder to mounting bracket (9) and install pin (1).
7.
Remove caps/plugs and connect two hydraulic hoses (3) to cylinder (8).
8.
Open hydraulic reservoir ball valve (WP 0179 00).
9.
Check oil level in hydraulic reservoir (LO 10-3930-675-12).
10.
Start engine (TM 10-3930-675-10).
11.
Check for leaks and proper operation of cab sliding cylinder (TM 10-3930-675-10).
NOTE
Replace hydraulic reservoir return filters after 100 hours of operation (WP 0183 00).
