Discard seal ring.INSTALLATIONNOTEEnsure fuel pump sealing surface is clean and free from old gasket material1.Install new threaded adapter seal ring, provided with new fuel filter, on fuel pump (1).NOTEApply a light coat of lubricating oil to new filter gasket and fill fuel filter with correct fuel.2.Install new fuel filter (2) on fuel pump (1) and tighten until gasket contacts filter pump surface.CAUTIONOvertightening of filter can distort threads and damage fuel filter seal.3.Tighten fuel filter (2) an additional ½ to ¾ turn.4.Start engine and check for leaks (TM 10-3930-675-10).END OF WORK PACKAGE12
