TRANSMISSION INTERNAL COARSE OIL FILTER REMOVAL
1.
Drain transmission oil (refer to Transmission Oil Draining).

CAUTION
Ensure no dirt or oil sludge enters transmission. Failure to comply may cause equipment damage.
3.
Remove three screws (16), washers (17), and cover (18). Remove and discard O-ring (20) from cover.
4.
Remove internal coarse oil filter (19) from transmission.

TRANSMISSION INTERNAL COARSE OIL FILTER CLEANING AND INSPECTION
WARNING
Dry cleaning solvent P-D-680 type III is toxic and flammable. Wear protective goggles and gloves
and use only in a well-ventilated area. Avoid contact with skin, eyes, and clothes and do not
breathe vapors. Do not use near open flames or excessive heat. The solvent's flash point is 200F
(94C). If you become dizzy while using dry cleaning solvent, get fresh air immediately and get
medical aid. If solvent contacts eyes, wash your eyes and get medical aid immediately.
Compressed air used for cleaning or drying purposes, or for clearing restrictions, should never
exceed 30 psi (207 kPa). Use protective equipment and exercise caution to avoid injury to person-
nel.
1.
Use solvent to clean internal coarse oil filter.
2.
Dry internal coarse oil filter with compressed air.
3.
Inspect filter for damage. If not damaged, filter may be reused.
