TRANSMISSION SKID PLATE AND ACCESS COVERS REPLACEMENT - CONTINUED

SKID PLATE REMOVAL
1.
Position floor jack under center of skid plate (4). Raise jack until it contacts skid plate.
2.
Remove eight locknuts (1), screws (2), and 16 washers (3). Discard locknuts.
3.
Lower jack and remove skid plate (4) from skid plate brackets (8).
NOTE
Perform step 4 for each of two skid plate brackets.
4.
Remove two locknuts (5), screws (6), four lockwashers (7), and skid plate bracket (8) from vehicle. Discard locknuts
and lockwashers.

SKID PLATE INSTALLATION
NOTE
Perform step 1 for each of two skid plate brackets.
1.
Install skid plate bracket (8) on vehicle with four new lockwashers (7), two screws (6), and new locknuts (5).
2.
Using jack, position skid plate (4) on skid plate brackets (8).
3.
Install 16 washers (3), eight screws (2), and new locknuts (1).
