ROCKER ARM ASSEMBLY MAINTENANCE - CONTINUED

CAUTION
Ensure rocker lever shafts are installed in support with arrow on end of shaft pointed down. Failure to
install rocker lever shafts with arrow down will have an adverse effect on rocker lever lubrication and
may cause damage to rocker arm assemblies.
NOTE
Ensure rocker lever shafts are oriented according to marking on shaft ends.
1.
Apply a light coat of clean lubricating oil to each rocker lever shaft (14) and install front end support (7) on each rocker
lever shaft.
2.
Install screw (8) and retaining clamp (9) to secure rocker lever shaft (14) to front end support (7).

Install adjusting screw (1) and adjusting nut (15) in three rocker levers (10, 11, and 12) and position rocker levers on
shaft (14) in correct sequence as noted in disassembly.
4.
Position one center support (6) and secure in place with retaining clamp (9) and screw (8).
5.
Install three rocker levers (10, 11, and 12) and remaining support (6) with rocker levers in correct position as noted in
disassembly.
