EXHAUST MANIFOLD REPLACEMENT - CONTINUED

2.
Remove two screws (7) and spacers (9) from end sections of exhaust manifold (10).
3.
Install guide pins (6) in place of removed screws (7).
4.
Remove ten remaining screws (7), spacers (9), exhaust manifold (10), and six gaskets (8). Discard gaskets.

INSTALLATION
NOTE
Ensure exhaust manifold is free of cracks or other damage. If cracks are present, replace exhaust
manifold.
Ensure old gasket material is removed from exhaust ports and exhaust manifold mating surfaces.
1.
If guide pins (6) were removed, install guide pins in outside top holes of exhaust ports.
NOTE
DO NOT use adhesive of any kind to hold gaskets in place.
2.
Place new gasket (8) on each guide pin (6).
3.
Position exhaust manifold (10) on guide pins (6).
NOTE
Apply a light coat of antiseize compound to screw threads only.
4.
Install four new gaskets (8), ten spacers (9), and screws (7) to secure exhaust manifold (10) in place. Tighten screws
hand tight.
5.
Remove guide pins (6) and replace with two spacers (9) and screws (7). Tighten screws hand tight.
