PARKING BRAKE CYLINDER MAINTENANCE - CONTINUED

PARKING BRAKE CYLINDER DISASSEMBLY
1.
Remove cover (6), adjusting screw (7), and nut (5) from parking brake cylinder.
2.
Remove fitting (10) and seal ring (23) from housing (16). Discard seal ring.
3.
Remove bleeder valve (3) from housing (16).
NOTE
Note position of spring washers for assembly.
4.
Remove lock ring (20), pressure ring (4), and six spring washers (19).
5.
Remove dust seal (25) from groove of adjusting cylinder (9) and remove piston (17) with adjusting cylinder from hous-
ing (16).
6.
Remove adjusting cylinder (9) from piston (17) and remove O-ring (18) and magnet (26) from adjusting cylinder. Dis-
card O-ring.
NOTE
Note position of seal rings for assembly.
7.
Remove O-ring (21), dust seal (25), and two seal rings (22 and 24) from housing (16). Discard O-ring, dust seal, and two
seal rings.
