TOPHANDLER CONTROL VALVE REPLACEMENT - CONTINUED

NOTE
Tag all electrical leads and hydraulic lines.
Remove and discard tiedown straps as necessary to gain free movement in electrical leads and
hydraulic hoses.
REMOVAL
1.
Press in on retaining clips (8) and disconnect electrical leads (7) from solenoids (6). Secure electrical leads away from
control valve (5).
2.
Disconnect hydraulic hoses (9) from fittings (10) at control valve (5). Secure all hydraulic hoses away from control
valve.
WARNING
Use extreme caution when handling heavy parts. Tophandler control valve weighs approximately 150
lb (68 kg). Provide adequate support and use assistance during procedure. Ensure that any lifting
device used is in good condition and of suitable load capacity. Keep clear of heavy parts supported
only by lifting device. Failure to follow this warning may result in death or injury to personnel.

With assistance, remove four screws (12) and washers (13) securing mounting plate (11) with control valve (5) to
tophandler (1). Remove control valve to work bench.
4.
Remove four screws (2), washers (3), locknuts (4), and mounting plate (11) from control valve (5). Discard locknuts.
NOTE
Perform step 5 to remove fittings from control valve, if a new control valve is being installed.
5.
Remove fittings (10) from control valve (5).
