Remove and discard all expansion plugs.

NOTE
If guide dowels require replacement, perform the steps below to remove appropriate dowel pins or
dowel rings.

If necessary, use dowel pin extractor and remove two cylinder head alignment dowels, three cam follower alignment
dowel pins, and oil pump alignment dowel pin. Discard all removed dowel pins.
