CAUTION
Bearing shells are marked with words upper and lower. Each must be installed in correct location
as marked during removal to prevent possible engine damage.
Tang of bearing shell must be in slot of bearing saddle to correctly position bearing and prevent
engine damage.

Install seven upper main bearing shells (7) in saddles on cylinder block.

Apply lubriplate to crankshaft mating surface of upper main bearing shells (7).
