Install lifting sling on crankshaft (6) nos. 3 and 4 rod bearing journals.
WARNING
Use extreme caution when handling heavy parts. Provide adequate support and use assistance during
these procedures. Ensure that any lifting device used is in good condition and of suitable load capacity.
Stay clear of heavy parts supported only by lifting device. Failure to follow this warning may result in
injury or death to personnel.
NOTE
Ensure upper main bearing shells do not move when installing crankshaft.
9.
With assistance, lift crankshaft (6) and install in cylinder block.
