Rotate and pull camshaft (9) and drive gear (1) from cylinder block.

Remove camshaft installation pilot guide from rear of camshaft (9).

Measure and record clearance between camshaft gear hub and thrust washer plate. Measurement should be 0.005 to
0.013 in. (0.13 to 0.33 mm).
