Rotate camshaft (9) slowly as it is being installed in cylinder block.

NOTE
Camshaft installation pilot tool MUST be disassembled as it clears the no. 7 camshaft bushing to pre-
vent interference with flywheel housing.
9.
Remove camshaft installation pilot tool.
10.
Rotate camshaft to align holes in camshaft drive gear (1) with thrust washer plate screw holes.
11.
Rotate thrust plate washer (11) to align screw holes with cylinder block holes and install two screws (2). Tighten screws
to 35 lb-ft (47 Nm).
