REMOVAL
WARNING
DO NOT perform maintenance on cooling system unless engine has been allowed to cool down. This is a
pressurized cooling system and escaping steam or hot coolant will cause serious burns.
1.
Position suitable container under radiator draincock. Open draincock and drain coolant. Retain coolant for filling cool-
ing system.
2.
Loosen coolant bypass hose clamps (1) on upper and lower hoses (2 and 4).
3.
Remove upper hose (2) and lower hose (4) from thermostat housing (3). Ensure that flow restriction disc (5) is retained
for installation.
