TM 10-3930-675-20-2 0066 00-3 THERMOSTAT REPLACEMENT - CONTINUED 0066 00 INSTALLATION NOTE Ensure sealing surfaces of thermostat housing and housing support are clean and free of all material. 1. Install thermostat (8) and new seal (9) in thermostat housing (3). 2. Position thermostat housing (3) on housing support (6) and secure with four screws (7). Tighten screws to 40 lb-ft (54 Nm). 3. Connect upper hose (2) and lower hose (4) to thermostat housing (3) and secure with hose clamps (1). Ensure that flow restriction disc (5) is installed. NOTE Ensure radiator draincock is closed. 4. Replace coolant in system. Start engine (TM 10-3930-675-10) and check for leaks. 5. Top off coolant level as needed (WP 0063 00). 6. Install radiator splash shield (WP 0136 00). 7.
