TRANSMISSION OIL FILTER HEAD REMOVAL - CONTINUED
TRANSMISSION OIL FILTER HEAD INSTALLATION
1.
Apply pipe sealant to threads of fittings (6) and install in oil filter head (3).
2.
Position bracket (12) on oil filter head (3) and secure with two screws (14) and washers (15).
NOTE
Ensure that mounting surface of flywheel housing is clean and free of old gasket forming compound.
3.
Apply gasket forming compound to mounting surface on flywheel housing (13) and install bracket (12) with oil filter
head (3) on flywheel housing with two screws (10) and washers (11).
4.
Install o-ring (7) and oil filter sensor (8) to oil filter head (3).
5.
Connect connector (9) to oil filter sensor (8).
6.
Connect two hoses (5) to fittings (6).
7.
Install two oil filters to oil filter head (refer to Transmission Oil Filters Installation).
8.
Operate vehicle (TM 10-3930-675-10) and check for leaks.
9.
Check transmission oil level and add as necessary (LO 10-3930-675-12).
