HYDRAULIC SYSTEM TEST POINT PROCEDURES - CONTINUED
0186 00
TEST POINT NO. 2: BRAKE ACCUMULATOR NO. 2 - CONTINUED
6.
Slowly open shutoff valve in brake system circuit no. 2. Pressure will drain to 1232.5-1305 psi (85-90 bar) and then
drop off completely. The pressure at which gage drops off completely is the pre-charged nitrogen pressure in the accu-
mulators. Close shutoff valve.
7.
Start engine. Pressure gage will jump to the pre-charged nitrogen pressure in the accumulators.
8.
Shut down engine. Relieve hydraulic system pressure (WP 0164 00).
9.
Disconnect hydraulic test gage and adapter from test point no. 2.
TEST POINT NO. 3: STEERING SYSTEM MAIN VALVE
NOTE
Test point no. 3 provides a means to check the steering system main valve operating pressure.
1.
Drain steering system pressure by opening shutoff valve. When system has completely drained, close shutoff valve.
2.
Connect hydraulic test gage with adapter to test point no. 3.
3.
Start engine. Standby pressure of 261 psi (18 bar) will appear on gage. After 5 seconds, steering pump will start and
steering system pressure will increase to 3045 psi (210 bar).
4.
Shut down engine. Relieve hydraulic system pressure (WP 0164 00).
5.
Disconnect hydraulic test gage and adapter from test point no. 3.
TEST POINT NO. 4: BRAKE CIRCUIT NO. 2
NOTE
Test point no. 4 provides a means to check brake circuit no. 2 operating pressures.
1.
Drain brake system circuit no. 2 accumulator pressure by opening shutoff valve. When system has completely drained,
close shutoff valve.
