Check engine coolant to ensure safe operation at temperature range down to -50° F (-46° C) (TB 750-651).
6.
Drain fuel tank. Refill with arctic grade diesel fuel (TM 10-3930-675-10).
7.
Inspect engine drive belts for signs of cracking. Replace belts as required (WP 0070 00 and WP 0189 00).
8.
Drain windshield washer fluid (see WP 0157 00).
9.
Start truck and allow engine to reach operating temperature (TM 10-3930-675-10).
10.
Open both left- and right-side twistlock cylinder bypass valves on tophandler, by using a flat tip screwdriver to turn slot-
ted area on valve so that it is in line with fluid flow thru valve.
11.
Operate twistlocks at least five times, while activating override switch, to circulate hydraulic oil within twistlock cylin-
ders (TM 10-3930-675-10).
12.
Close both left- and right-side twistlock cylinder bypass valves, by turning slotted area so that it is perpendicular to fluid
flow thru valve.
13.
Perform operational check of all vehicle systems (TM 10-3930-675-10).
