Visually inspect valve guides for chips or cracks. If damage is found, or valve guide does not meet specification, replace
valve guide.
NOTE
Valve guide inside diameter (ID) is measured at three points: in. (13 mm) from top and bottom and
at center of guide. Installed height is measured from surface of cylinder head. If valve guide is not
within limits, replace valve guide.

Measure inside diameter (ID) and installed height of valve guide.
