7.
Apply silicone sealant to threads of screws at locations A, B, and C.
8.
Install remaining flange head screws (1). Tighten screws to 55 lb-in. (6 Nm).
9.
Tighten all front cover screws in sequence as shown:
a.
Screws 1 to 22: 15 lb-ft (20 Nm)
b.
Screws 23 to 28: 50 lb-ft (68 Nm)

TIGHTENING SEQUENCE
10.
Remove six flange head screws used to mount front engine mount. Install front engine mount (WP 0198 00).
11.
Tighten six front engine mount flange head screws in sequence and tightness as in step 9.
12.
Install accessory drive (WP 0213 00).
13.
Install front main oil seal (WP 0201 00).
14.
Install vibration damper (WP 0203 00).
15.
Install water pump oil seal (WP 0068 00).
16.
Install and adjust alternator and A/C compressor pulleys and drive belts (WP 0071 00 and WP 0195 00).
17.
Start and run engine to operational temperature (TM 10-3930-675-10). Shut down and check for leaks.
18.
Install engine cover (WP 0148 00).
