6.
Install new O-ring seal (4) on hydraulic pump drive adapter (1).
7.
Apply a coat of clean lubricating oil to O-ring seal (4) and hydraulic pump drive adapter needle bearing (6).
8.
Install hydraulic pump drive adapter (1) over shaft drive gear (3).
9.
Install three screws (2) by hand to align hydraulic pump drive adapter (1) with front gear housing.
CAUTION
Take care when tapping around outside surface of adapter. Damage to O-ring seal may result.
10.
Using plastic-faced hammer, install hydraulic pump drive adapter (1) in front gear housing.
11.
Tighten three screws (2) evenly to 35 lb-ft (47 Nm).

Measure drive shaft end clearance as shown. Measurement must be 0.003 to 0.025 in. (0.076 to 0.635 mm). If not as
specified, remove and reinstall needle bearings.
DRIVE SHAFT END CLEARANCE
13.
Install cooling fan hydraulic pump (WP 0247 00).
14.
Start engine (TM 10-3930-675-10) and check for leaks.
15.
Install engine cover (WP 0148 00).
